BALTIMORE-Corporate Office Properties Trust has shed 24 buildings and a 591-acre development in Cascade for gross proceeds of roughly $179 million in July. The dispositions of properties are part of the Columbia-based REIT's multi-year plan to shed $560 million in properties.

COPT sold the properties in Columbia, Frederick, Gaithersburg, Hanover, Hunt Valley and White Marsh. The REIT also sold the Fort Ritchie development in Cascade. It used $49.6 million from the sales to purchase McLearen Center, 202,000-square-foot property in Herndon, Virginia. For the full story, go to Baltimore Business Journal .
