BOSTON-Mark Edlen, CEO of Portland, Oregon-based Gerding Edlen, is making $120 million in investment in Boston's Seaport District. Gerding Edlen has broken ground on a 20-story residential building on A Street.

The Boston Wharf Tower will feature 202 apartment units. Mayor Thomas M. Menino, restaurateur Barbara Lynch and Peter Meade, director of Boston Redevelopment Authority, as well as others attended the groundbreaking ceremony on Thursday.
