Sidney Wallis of GSP, Passes Away at 92

LOS ANGELES-He served as an important part of the company and was responsible for introducing George Smith to the mortgage business in 1969.

LOS ANGELES-Those who follow @GlobeStcom on Twitter and @GlobeStLIVE may have already seen a post on this announcement, but GlobeSt.com has learned that Sidney Wallis, chairman emeritus of George Smith Partners, has passed away. The icon died “peacefully” according to reports at the age of 92 on July 27, 2012 after a long illness.

He served as an important part of the company and was responsible for introducing George Smith to the mortgage business in 1969. Wallis and George Smith became colleagues in 1984.
