FAIRFIELD, NJ—Technogym, the official fitness equipment supplier for the London 2012 Olympics, has signed a long-term lease at a renovated office building on Route 46 to establish its USheadquarters.

Technogym signed for 12,897 square feet lease at the office building, which was recently repositioned for multi-tenant use by True North Fairfield Property Partners, an affiliate of White Plains-based True North.

“It’s a beautiful space,” says Richard Charles of CBRE, who represented Technogym, “well-located and fitted out.” A Newmark Grubb Knight Frank team Frank Recine and Kenneth Porreca, represented the landlord in the transaction at 700 Route 46 East.

The building is part of a completely renovated mixed-use complex that includes the Crowne Plaza Hotel, which has on-site conferencing facilities, a fitness center, pool and restaurant.

"We are seeing strong interest from a diverse group of tenants in this excellent facility now that it has been completely polished and updated," says Recine, a principal of NGKF.

Contiguous spaces of up to 24,022 square feet, connected by an internal staircase, are available at the building. Floors are divisible to 2,000 square feet.

Technogym has 13 offices around the world and produced its first line of fitness equipment in 1985 in Italy. It has been the official supplier of cardiovascular training equipment for the Athletes Village at numerous Olympic Games, including Beijing 2008.

Techno gym’s equipment is in use in over 50,000 fitness facilities around the world. The Fairfield headquarters will include a large showroom of the equipment.
