DENVER-Students at the University of Wyoming in Laramie should be able to take advantage of some new living options this coming year. A recent release from project architect KTGY Group, Inc., highlighted the fact that construction on a new 332-bed student housing community there is in the final stages of completion. The developer of the complex known as Bison Run Communities is American Campus Communities and the project is valued at $11.3 million. As of press time, the 4,000-square-foot community center and adjoining maintenance facilities are in use, while an official opening is scheduled for August 13.

This student housing project also consists of 84 apartment homes, which are mostly four bedroom and three bath spaces located in primarily a townhouse-neighborhood. Undergraduate and graduate students will likely be renting each bedroom in the townhouse apartments, the firm says, and each unit features shared kitchen, dining, and living room spaces with single, private bedrooms and private or semi-private bathrooms. The aforementioned community building was designed to be a visitor/administrative center for the University's student amenities and also a functional space for student recreation and residence life programming.
