FREMONT, CA-Seagate Technology Plc, based in Dublin, Ireland, is taking over the former headquarters and manufacturing plant of Solyndra LLC. The company is buying the former solar manufacturing facility in Fremont.

Reuters reported that the 31,000-square-foot facility was expected to change hands for about $150 million. The Fremont building, which sits on 30 acres, cost over $300 million and it was developed in 2010. Jones Lang LaSalle handled the deal.
