$28M Courtyard By Marriott Opens

GOLETA, CA-R.D. Olson Development completes its latest hotel project, a 106-room Courtyard by Marriott in this Santa Barbara County community.

GOLETA, CA-Last week, GlobeSt.com reported that R.D. Olson Development would shortly be opening its fourth hotel since last November, and this week the firm has done so. Yesterday, the development company and Wynmark Co. soft-opened the 106-room Courtyard by Marriott, located at 401 Storke Rd. here, to serve market demand from University of California, Santa Barbara, and meet the needs of local business, the region’s largest industrial companies and more than 80 local R&D firms.

The 68,000-square-foot hotel is located within one mile of Santa Barbara Airport and Camino Real Marketplace. Girsh Park, a 25-acre sports park that attracts 350,000 visitors annually, is adjacent to the hotel.
