CLARK, NJ-David Zimmel of Zimmel Associates in Edison recently brokered two transactions for the law firm of Tobin, Reitman, Greenstein, Caruso, Wiener, Konray & Kessler, PC, establishing its new office in Clark.
The firm known as "Team Law" has signed a 10-year lease valued at $2 million for 11,000 square feet at 136 Central Ave., a three story 39,000 square-foot office building located off exit 135 of the Garden State Parkway.
Zimmel has been the exclusive agent for the building for 10 years. With this transaction, the building is 100 percent occupied.
"The building was constructed from the ground up by owner/builders Philip and Roger Kruvant in 1977," says Zimmel. "It went through a complete renovation in 2011, including the common areas and the bathrooms. That was an astute decision by the owners, who not only maintained their investment, but made it even more competitively positioned."
"It was time for us to move into new space," says Scott Kessler, the law firm's managing partner. "We wanted to sell our former building at 1743 St. Georges Avenue in Rahway first. We gave the assignment to David Zimmel and he delivered on both counts quickly.
"The negotiations went smoothly and we couldn't be more pleased with the results," adds Kessler. "The landlord agreed to retro-fit the space to suit and our firm will occupy almost the entire floor.” Kessler noted that the new offices are accessible by both public transportation and car, an important convenience for clients. It is also situated very close to the law firm’s former location, which Kessler said makes the transition easier for clients and staff.
The Clark, NJ, building is owned by 136 Central Avenue Associates, represented by principal Roger Kruvant.
Tobin, Reitman, Greenstein, Caruso, Wiener, Konray & Kessler serves northern and central New Jersey and specializes in personal injury, legal malpractice, workers comp/employee issues, traffic violations and other legal needs.
The law firm's former building at 1743 St. Georges Avenue, Rahway, was sold to an investor for an undisclosed amount, in a transaction handled by Zimmel, which is based in Edison.
