LONDON—Pure Student Living has completed construction of its first student housing property, located in North London’s Finsbury Park. On the heels of that, the company—a locally based joint venture between the Carlyle Group and Generation Estates—secured financing for three more student housing developments.
The first project, the 400-bed Pure Highbury, was wrapped up in time for the UCAS University 2012-13 academic year. The property is located within a two-minute walk to the Finsbury Park underground station and within 20 minutes travel distance of 18 London universities.
The residences’ design took into account input from students on their preferences and requirements. The units offer either study-bed or studio-type ensuites, and the project includes 10Mb Internet speed, a 24-hour gym and fitness center, 24-hour security and dedicated maintenance and housekeeping services.
