LONDON-AXA Real Estate Investors has named Dietrich Heidtmann as its newest global head of investor relations and capital markets. This means that he will be handling investor relations throughout Europe, Asia and North America. Heidtmann takes over from Antoine Jozan, who made the decision to retire from full-time employment after working for the company for 12 years. Jozan will vacate the role in December 2012.

Heidtmann comes to the position after working as the managing director for capital markets with Grosvenor. Between 1993 and 2011, he was with Morgan Stanley International, where he was part of equity sales and then managing director of real estate private capital markets. He will report to Deborah Shire, global head of business development.

“The critical factor to our successful development is the close proximity we have with our clients and our ability to deliver specific investment solutions according to their investment objectives," said Shire in a prepared statement. "In addition to having long experience and extensive market knowledge, Dietrich is well-respected in our industry and his appointment demonstrates our continued ability to attract professionals of the highest calibre.”
