Donahue Schriber Breaks Ground on 900,000-SF Retail Site

ROCKLIN, CA-The southeast quadrant of Sierra College Blvd. and Interstate 80 here will be getting a major new retail development as Donahue Schriber begins construction on Rocklin Crossings, a 543,000-square-foot power center. Construction on sister center Rocklin Commons, which will be located directly across the I-80 interchange, will begin at a later date as a second phase, with both centers slated to open in Spring 2014. The firm declined to reveal to GlobeSt.com the projected construction costs for the 900,000-square-foot retail project.

Anchored by Walmart, Rocklin Crossings will complement Whitney Ranch, a new subdivision under construction in the northwest area of Rocklin. “This project has been entitled since 2008, but we were not going to build until we had strong leasing activity,” said David Mossman, Donahue Schriber’s EVP and CIO, in a prepared statement. “Now we’re ready to roll.”
