CALABASAS, CA-Marcus & Millichap business unit Institutional Property Advisors has named Brian T. Murdy as its new national director. Murdy has extensive multifamily experience and was, most recently, a portfolio manager of Hartford, CT-based Cornerstone Real Estate Advisers’ flagship core open-end fund. He was with the company from 1999, and before that held a similar role with Henderson Global Investors.

According to a recent IPA release, Murdy brings 28 years of commercial real estate industry experience to this role. In addition to his aforementioned jobs, he also was an accountant with DiSanto Bertoline and KPMG for a period of time.
