MONARCH BEACH, CA-Marcus & Millichap ranked first on InformationWeek 500 as the annual lists’ top real estate firm. This list, compiled each year, organizes the nation’s most innovative users of business technology. The real estate investment firm placed 210 overall on the list, and has appeared on it seven consecutive years, including 2012.
The firm was recognized this year thanks to a major revamp of its MNet landing page – a proprietary database of more than three million commercial properties. According to a release from the company, this new design prompted increased productivity and efficiency in-house. Somewhere in the region of 1,800 individuals rely on the MNet application.
Richard Peltz, chief information officer of Marcus & Millichap, commented on the award in the same statement, explaining: ‘This award demonstrates just how committed we are to providing the highest level of service to our investment real estate agents and loan originators in an effort to support their sales success.”
He went on to describe how the team are working with the renovated application: “By using the MNet landing page, agents have instant access to all of the activity, or interest from other investment specialists within Marcus & Millichap’s nationwide network, on their listings.This information-sharing allows agents to collaborate on transactions by bringing them potential buyers from all points nationwide.”
