TUSCALOOSA, AL-Tuscaloosa News reported that Kemmons Wilson Inc.'s plans for a new Embassy Suites in the Downtown district have been approved by the Tuscaloosa Planning Commission. The report said that the Tuscaloosa City Council will have final say on the eight-story hotel project.
Last month, the city council voted in favor of selling a 2.02-acre parcel for $1.855 million to Memphis-based Kemmons Wilson, which plans to build a 154-bed hotel on the site. For the full story, go to Memphis Business Journal .
