EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ-CBRE has completed two transactions at the 422,000-square foot Metropolitan Center located at One Meadowlands Plaza in East Rutherford.

CBRE’s team representing landlord KBS Capital Advisors included Greg Barkan, Donald Sparling and Robert Norton. The leases were signed by:

  • Ameream Management, the retail management group behind American Dream in the Meadowlands (formerly Xanadu), for 4,004 square feet. The company works to develop combination shopping and entertainment centers.
  • DBR 360, a computer design business, for 2,828 square feet. The company designs networks to manage logistics of delivering packages globally.

“One Meadowlands Plaza is much more than a place to work,” said Barkan. “It’s an environment where businesses thrive by taking advantage of the myriad of services and amenities that encourage an effective and productive workforce.” He noted that in addition to a prestigious location, the site offers excellent access to mass transit.

“The tenants chose this property because of its geographic location, the building quality and on-site amenities,” said Randi Kaufman, senior vice president of KBS Capital Advisors. “Although one tenant is expanding in the state and the other is overseeing a major development project in the area, it’s a great fit for both tenants in their need for general office space.”

Metropolitan Center is a LEED Gold and Energy Star certified building. It offers covered parking, a cafeteria, complimentary fitness center, video tele-conference center, on-site dry cleaning, car wash and on-demand shuttle bus service to Secaucus Junction train station and local area restaurants and shops.

The building overlooks MetLife Stadium, home of the New York Giants and New York Jets. It is adjacent to the Sheraton Meadowlands Hotel and Conference Center.

The location just off Exit 16W off the New Jersey Turnpike, at the junction of Routes 3 and 120, is 15 minutes from the Lincoln Tunnel. Newark Liberty International Airport and Teterboro Airport are also nearby, as well as the Secaucus outlets and regional malls.
