NEW YORK CITY-The real estate community packed Gotham Hall Wednesday night for Joan’s Legacy: Uniting Against Lung Cancer, the annual fundraising event named in memory of Joan Scarangello McNieve, a nonsmoker who lost her nine-month battle with the disease in 2001 at age of 47. Founded in ‘01 as Joan’s Legacy: The Joan Scarangello Foundation, the organization changed its name to Uniting Against Lung Cancer, bringing other groups into the fold. One of the highlights of the evening was its traditional silent auction.
