CHICAGO - A continued upturn in its business has prompted SGJ Property Management Inc. to find more space and move its headquarters into the Universal Building. SGJ Property said in a release on Wednesday that it rented about 3,000 square feet in the office loft building at 700 N. Sacramento Blvd. The terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

Catherine Caravette, owner of Catherine Caravette and Associates Inc., represented the building's owner in the transaction. Mike Nolan, vice president at Avison Young, represented SGJ Property.

“Our business plan has been very successful and we have experienced a tremendous amount of growth in the past few years,” Sarah Gulllette-Johnson, CEO of SGJ Property, says in the release, adding that the company needed to expand its office space. SGJ Property specializes in the management of condo associations and currently works with 46 properties in the Chicago area.

The Universal Building is a 150,000-square-foot loft office facility built in 1898 as a stove factory and restored as office space in 2000.
