PORTLAND, OR-Charlie Hales, Mayor-elect of Portland, Oregon, and the development team behind the first hotel project in Pearl District will hold official ground breaking ceremonies today at 1150 N.W. Ninth Ave. for a 225-room hotel. EB5 Global and Williams & Dame Development Inc. are developing the Residence Inn by Marriott.
The six-story structure is being built by Howard S. Wright Constructors. SERA Architects designed the 170,000-square foot building. Construction work on the $40-million undertaking started several weeks ago. For the full story, go to Portland Business Journal .
