The Cliff

Next to having to endure the last two years of electioneering, the most extreme daily pain that we are suffering is listening to minute-by-minute updates on the fiscal cliff. I read a great article recently that observed that the "cliff" has crept into lexicon. The best is the latest pastry delight, Cliffmas Cookies. The winery that offers Cliffside Wine has seen its sales skyrocket since the cliff came into vogue. The most excited winner of the fray over the cliff is publisher John Wiley & Sons who owns the students best friend, Cliff Notes. The publisher is planning to roll out a new offering, "Fiscal Cliff for Dummies". Alas, the situation in Washington is no joke. Let's hope that the President and both sides of the aisle come to their senses in the days ahead and avoid "the cliff".
