DALLAS-Forest City Enterprises Inc. has started construction on a $100-million high-rise project in Uptown Dallas' West Village neighborhood. The developer closed on approximately three acres of land at Blackburn Street and McKinney Avenue in August for the 21-story residential and retail project.

The development will comprise 381 apartments and 37,000 square feet of ground-level retail space. The project architect is Good Fulton & Farrell and the general contractor is Rogers O'Brien Construction Co. Construction is expected to be completed in fall 2014.
