Let's Hear It For the Girls

SINCE 1993, REAL ESTATE FORUM HAS RUN an annual feature on influential women in commercial real estate. The approach may have varied and the number of professionals that were featured may have fluctuated, but one thing remained constant: the women on the pages on this magazine were among the top in their fields.

That hasn’t changed, but many other things have. For one, the number of women nominated has gone up year after year. The caliber of executives has also risen, and they’re coming from a growing pool of fields. So much so, in fact, that narrowing down the nominees to the select few has become an increasingly daunting task. It may have made our editors’ jobs a bit harder, but in terms of what it has to say about women in this industry, it’s a great sign.
