SAN JOSE, CA-Gucci, which recently marked a decade at Santana Row, will undergo a complete interior remodel along with façade enhancement beginning in the summer 2013. The work will be completed in time for the 2013 holiday season. Also undergoing a renovation here at the retail complex next year is Tommy Bahama.
The retail center officially opened on Nov. 7, 2002, and just recently had its 10-year anniversary. At the time it was built, it was considered ambitious. A $450-million project on 42 acres, the retail and residential village now averages 30,000 people a day.
Last year alone, according to a center spokesperson, the development contributed approximately $24 million in sales tax revenue for the city of San Jose, according to a prepared statement.
Check back later today to hear thoughts and further plans for the center from the VP of the Western Region at Federal Realty Investment Trust, Santana Row's parent company.
