MIAMI—Commercial real estate musical chairs has been the name of the game in Miami and the Southeast over the past 30 days. Big names have moved, been promoted, and otherwise taken on new responsibilities. I've rounded up a few of the moves—large and small.

First off, CBRE promoted South Florida multifamily expert Robert Given to vice chairman, the highest attainable title for producers at CBRE. Formerly an executive vice president, Given and his 10-member team have provided representation to owners in the disposition of multifamily properties and development land for an excess of $12 billion in transaction value.

Also at CBRE, first vice president Nikolas Kozy joined the Private Capital Group (PCG) South Florida Retail Investment team. Kozy was formerly a member of the CBRE National Retail Investment Group for Florida between 2007 and 2012. He has worked on the sale of more than 130 retail shopping centers totaling more than $3.2 billion in consideration.
