PLANO—The Medical Center of Plano, will spend $66 million to expand its 427-bed acute-care hospital.
The expansion will enable the hospital to keep pace with steady growth and development of its Level II Trauma Center and with its emergence as a referral hospital in North Texas and southern Oklahoma, according to the Dallas Business Journal.
Plans include the construction of two additional floors totaling more than 56,000 square feet, an additional 68 beds earmarked for critical and progressive-care patients in the neurosciences unit, labs, and the renovation of existing public areas, including the south lobby and the hospital's cafeteria.
