SAN FRANCISCO-CBRE Group Inc. has hired Bradford J. Zampa as an executive vice president in its debt and equity finance group. He will focus on sourcing and placing capital on behalf of institutional clients, and will be based in San Francisco.
Zampa joins CBRE from Newmark Knight Frank Cornish & Carey's capital group, where he was senior managing director of the finance team and arranged debt and equity for all property types throughout the western US. Previously, Zampa was founder and principal of C&C Capital, where he placed more than $3.5 billion in structured debt, and C&C Asset Advisors, which specialized in distressed asset sales, loan sales and loan workouts, according to a prepared statement.
C&C Capital and C&C Asset Advisors merged into the Newmark Knight Frank Cornish & Carey Commercial Capital Group suite of services in 2010.
Over his 15-year career in real estate finance, Zampa has closed more than $6 billion in commercial real estate transactions. He specializes in sourcing the complete capital stack, including senior mortgages, B-notes, mezzanine pieces and preferred equity. Prior to mortgage banking, he practiced real estate law.
