DALLAS—A local law firm has signed a lease to occupy roughly 15,000 square feet at the top two floors of a recently purchased downtown office building.

The Law Offices of John R. Salazar PC, will move to the 158,283-square-foot office building at 2201 Main St. which was recently purchased by a group of North Texas investors, doing business as 2201 Main Street LLC, according to the Dallas Business Journal.

The investment group purchased the office building after the Law Offices of John R. Salazar signed its lease, which includes top-of-building signage, said Ron Hebert, a vice president of investments with Marcus & Millichap.

"It's a prominent position on the eastern edge of downtown Dallas," Hebert said. "The signage was a key part of the deal."

Hebert represented the seller of the building, which sits on 1.47 acres of land. The property formerly housed Blue Cross Blue Shield before the company moved to Richardson.
