HOUSTON—Frost Bank has filed to open a new branch in Houston which would be its 21st branch here, according to the Federal Reserve. The site is 1200 McKinney St., according to a report in the Houston Business Journal.

The branch would be a lease, a bank spokesman said.

Frost in 2012 was the eighth-largest bank in Houston with $2.2 billion in local deposits, up 17.42 percent over 2011. The San Antonio bank also plans to move its Houston regional headquarters to a 53,000-square-foot facility at Blvd Place.
