EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ-Cushman & Wakefield's data center specialist Sean Brady says about 25% of data center space is vacant right now in the state and this gives companies looking to outsource their technology a nice boost.
“With the excess capacity in the market, this is a great time to outsource your data center because of the vacancy factor and the amount of competition in New Jersey, which has the largest concentration of third-party data centers in the country,” said Brady.
The co-founder of the C &W's Global Data Center Advisory Group, Brady is slated to speak at CRE's Greater New York Data Center Summit & Expo in Manhattan on Feb. 27. The event is to be held at the New York Bar Association office in Midtown.
Brady will be joined by Colton Brown of DuPont Fabros and Shelagh Montgomery of Quality Technology in speaking about the “New Jersey Data Center Investment & Development Outlook.”
“We will take an in-depth look at current trends in the New Jersey marketplace, where leasing activity has slowed and the vacancy factor has climbed to approximately 25 percent,” said Brady. “We have seen third-party providers take down their large blocks of space and have plenty of space to grow into.”
The seminar event runs from 8:30 a.m. to 4:45 p.m.
