NEWPORT BEACH, CA—Voit Real Estate Services has hired 25-year commercial real estate veteran Rob Cord as Managing Director of Real Estate Management Services, according to Mark Read, Executive Managing Director of Voit Real Estate Services. In this role, Rob will oversee Voit's real estate management operations company-wide, spanning the Western United States.

Prior to joining Voit, Cord was Senior Managing Director of Property Management at Cassidy Turley for the last two years. In that role, he was responsible for the overall leadership, strategic focus and profitability of the property management division in Northern California.

Cord spent five years at Kennedy Wilson prior to Cassidy Turley, where he oversaw the management of 14 million square feet of commercial properties. During that time, he repositioned the company's third-party management business, doubling its size within Northern California and Las Vegas while working on select assets across the country.

Cord also has experience as CEO, President and founder of Cord Commercial, Inc. in Sacramento, which specialized in the asset management of commercial property portfolios throughout the Western U.S. Cord also previously served for three years at CB Richard Ellis in Sacramento as a Managing Director responsible for overseeing the operations of the region's largest commercial real estate services firm. In addition, he has held leadership positions at TRI Commercial Real Estate Services and Grubb & Ellis Company, both in the greater Bay Area.

Cord has been a California Business Properties Board Member for the last five years. In addition he is an active member of Buildings Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) and has held numerous leadership positions within industry organizations. These positions include: BOMA California Chairman from 2006 to 2009, BOMA Sacramento Chapter President 2004. He has also held positions within NAIOP, including President of the San Francisco Chapter from 2000-2002 and NAIOP National Board of Directors from 2001 to 2002.
