ADDISON—A Dallas-based developer has begun work on a multimillion-dollar luxury apartment and townhome project, adjacent to the massive Village on the Parkway redevelopment here.

The developer, Criterion Development Partners LLC, has begun demolishing existing apartment buildings on the six-acre tract of land and will break ground on the new luxury project next week, according to a report in the Dallas Business Journal.

“This project will have an urban design that we tried to design to fit in with Village on the Parkway,” said W. Pretlow Riddick, president of Criterion Development Partners.

The development firm has worked on high-density projects such as The Monterey in Uptown, and says this yet-to-be-named project will have a similar feel.
