CHICAGO - MB Real Estate has chosen Reed Construction to build new amenities at the Michigan Plaza office property at 205|225 N. Michigan Ave. The new features at the property will include a conference and fitness center.

Developed in 1982, Michigan Plaza is a 1.95 million square foot, two building office complex designed by Fujikawa Johnson. The property recently attained LEED-EB Gold certification. MB Real Estate leases and manages the property for the owners. Reed Construction will complete the build-out of the conference center which will a kitchen area along with the new fitness center. The new amenities comprise 10,770 SF. The fitness center, slated for completion this Spring will feature shower rooms, locker rooms and washroom facilities and an open area workout space for various equipment. Jack Hennessy, project executive and Hank Sembdner, senior project superintendent are overseeing Reed's work. Whitney Architects is providing architectural services. Reed Construction, established in 1893, is a full-service general contractor with offices in Chicago and Washington D.C.
