FRESNO, CA-Partner Engineering and Science Inc. has recently upped its hiring with the addition of industry veteran Cody Taylor as principal and national client manager based in one of the firm's new offices located in Fresno, CA. In addition, the firm adds Michael P. Arias as senior project manager in the Torrance, CA office.

With more than 17 years of experience in the environmental and engineering consulting industry, Taylor's new position consists of managing national due diligence assessments for SBA, lending institutions and residential, commercial and retail developers. He will also be responsible for pushing the firm further into the agricultural environmental services industry.

“Cody's vast experience is an important addition to our management team in the Fresno office,” says Partner president Joseph P. Derhake. “His success is a direct result of customer service and quality technical reports that mirror the standards we set for ourselves here at Partner. In addition to the many industries he has worked in, we have complete faith that with Cody's leadership, we will become an even larger presence in the booming agriculture industry.”

Prior to joining Partner, Taylor worked at two former Design firms as well as a Fortune 500 firm. During his tenure in the environmental and engineering consulting industry, he has served as a field project manager, client manager, regional manager, national client manager and national division manager overseeing, managing, coordinating and reviewing over 10,000 national environmental and engineering assessments.

With experience managing all aspects of environmental and engineering due diligence assessments, Taylor has worked with national and regional clients, including food and retail franchises, residential and commercial developers, mortgage and real estate brokers, national property management corporations, individual property owners and buyers and financial institutions.

In Southern California, Arias is expected to bolster Partner's senior technical staff primarily servicing institutional and equity clients in the area. Arias brings more than 25 years of experience in the architectural and construction fields to Partner's Investment Advisory Group.

He has performed property condition assessments, construction cost and document reviews, construction monitoring and owner's representation services for institutional and private clients nationwide. He also has developed an expertise in engineering cost analysis, enabling him to effectively evaluate construction related activities such as work item prioritization, assessments and construction remediation projects, according to a prepared statement.

Arias is also a specialist on the accessibility requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act and the Federal Housing Authority.

Throughout his career, Arias has provided comprehensive reviews for all commercial property types and for a variety of major clients, ranging from CBRE to MetLife Insurance. Arias's extensive past project history includes an acquisition Property Condition Assessment of a one-million-square-foot mall in Valencia, CA for an institutional client, a Property Condition Assessment of a 26-floor trophy office building in Los Angeles for a real estate firm, Construction Monitoring for an 800-room addition to a five-star hotel in San Diego and Owners' Representation for numerous industrial developments in California's Inland Empire area.

Prior to joining Partner, Arias was the assistant vice president at Marx/Okubo Associates Inc., in Pasadena, CA, where he completed hundreds of Property Condition Assessments for numerous types of real estate investment entities and performed several large portfolio evaluations for clients such as IDS Real Estate Group, American Realty Advisors and TA Associates Realty. In addition, Arias was an associate at ATC/Diagnostic Environmental Inc., and an architectural project manager in the design/build department of Berry Construction Inc., a general construction company.
