IRVINE, CA—Sperry Van Ness International Corporation (SVNIC), a commercial real estate franchisor, is proud to announce that George Slusser, CCIM has been named the company's new chief growth officer. With more than 175 locations nationwide, SVNIC will look to Slusser to shape and execute its strategy for continued expansion in 2013 and beyond.
Slusser is an accomplished executive who previously served as SVNIC's chief operating officer from 2010 to 2012. He helped lead the company to impressive growth in earnings and national expansion during that time. He is now rejoining SVNIC to continue building its service offerings and franchise presence in various geographic markets.
"George is not only focused on supporting the organic growth of our successful franchise model, but also the services that help fuel property sales," said Kevin Maggiacomo, president and CEO of SVNIC. "He's working to further enhance our property management product and online auctions following the company's recent achievements in both areas."
Slusser was most recently the executive vice president of business development at Xceligent, Inc., a provider of commercial real estate information. He also previously served as president and chief operating officer of Coldwell Banker Commercial in Parsippany, N.J.

Slusser is the bestselling author of "Acquiring Profit," a guide to real estate mergers and acquisitions. He holds an MBA from the University of Georgia, and a bachelor's degree from Bowling Green State University.
