PRESCOTT, AZ—The Burmister building recently known as Prescott Plaza, is undergoing major remodeling that will see it converted to an open-air indoor market.
The building's new owner, Cliff Petrovsky of Prescott, hired Prescott building contractor Thomas Carson to do a major makeover of the building, reports the Daily Courier. The structure, at 120 W. Gurley St., dates to the early 1900s and was connected at one time to the Bashford Courts building, which Petrovsky also owns.
Work began in late January, on the 20,000-square-foot building and will take four months, Petrovsky said. Petrovsky, a private investigator for 35 years who bought the Burmister building in February 2012, envisions transforming it into an open-air indoor market.
