FREMONT, CA—City officials have approved a plan to build 33 houses on a 7.6-acre property in the Cameron Hills neighborhood.

Lennar Homes, the site's developer, plans to build single-family residences near 42800 Caldas Court, according to a local news report. The site abuts 98-acre Sabercat Historical Park, near the Mission San Jose district.

Adam Tennant, of Westgate Ventures, a San Ramon real estate firm working with Lennar Homes on the project, told the Fremont Argus that the developer has sought to address community concerns by reducing the number of residences and their sizes, and by setting aside 25 percent of the land to open space.
