HONOLULU—Honolulu Seawater Air Conditioning LLC's $250 million air conditioning project--one that wouuld use seawater to cool downtown Honolulu buildings--has been delayed until the end of 2013. It had been scheduled to start early this year, says the Pacific Business Journal.
Company officials told PBN that they're working through the final permitting steps, which is taking longer than expected.
After a delay of nearly four months, the Army Corps of Engineers has issued comments on the company's final draft of the federal environmental impact statement and Honolulu Seawater Air Conditioning is now in the process of preparing their response to these comments.
