SANTA BARBARA, CA-GlobeSt.com has exclusively learned that Clarice Clarke, a 25-year commercial real estate veteran, has been named president of Lee & Associates–Central Coast which includes the Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo and Santa Maria offices.

Clarke, who joined Lee in 2008 as a firm shareholder, will be responsible for all management activities and will oversee the Central Coast offices' operations, as well as her ongoing brokerage activities. She is currently the only active female president in Lee's network of 46 offices across the country.

Clarke has been active in commercial real estate since 1989 in brokerage and various ownership and management positions. Her past roles have included a partner in the Leider Group and founding partner in Leider Hayes Commercial.

The previous president, Stephen Leider, who has also been with Lee since 2008, will remain at the company to ensure a smooth transition.

A well-known industry expert, who specializes in investment sales, retail, office and industrial leasing and land sales, Clarke has been involved in major real estate activities throughout California. She represented the City of Santa Barbara in the 20-year multi-screen theatre lease negotiation; leasing of newly developed retail project Madonna Enterprises of 140,000 square feet to national and regional retailers in San Luis Obispo; and the numerous closed transactions of mixed-use office/retail buildings in Santa Barbara and Goleta for several clients.

“Along with being a dedicated and reputable manager of various companies, she's remained a top producer in her marketplace while upholding the highest standards of professionalism and integrity,” says Leider. “Her diverse background in retail, office, industrial and land sale transactions has given her a unique ability to assist clients in most any real estate area—an important quality that I believe will contribute to her future success as Central Coast's new president.”
