DENVER—City officials have given the green light to a mixed-use development in Cherry Creek North that will bring a seven-story mixed-use building with primarily office space.
Council members voted unanimously to change the zoning for a half-acre of land at 245 Columbine St. to a CMX-8 zone, which allows for higher density, according to the Denver Business Journal.
Denver developer James Sullivan submitted plans for the project in September, which include underground parking, ground-floor retail, office space and two luxury condos on the top floor. It's located where the former U.S. Post Office building has sat vacant for years.
Since the project was first proposed, Sullivan has made some concessions that included agreeing to reduce the proposed building height to seven stories from eight and reduce the building size by 13,000 square feet.
