MORRISTOWN, NJ-Eight real estate attorneys have left Day Pitney to join Fox Rothschild, and the team will open a new office in Morristown this summer.

Top-ranked transactional attorneys Robert Klausner and Deirdre E. Moore, Christopher M. Rider, Grace Shin and Mat D. Carlson all join as partners. Jennifer L. Solberg, Joshua J. Franklin and Corey D. Kaplan will be associates at the new office.

Currently ranked 6th among New Jersey law firms by the New Jersey Law Journal, Fox has three offices in the state, with more than 150 attorneys.

"Bob, Deirdre and their team have assisted many of the leading real estate developers in the State of New Jersey, as well as other nationally recognized companies in the growth of their real estate portfolios," said Stanley L. Goodman, who is the managing partner of the Fox's Roseland office.

He said Fox had been looking to expand its real estate practice in northern New Jersey for some time. “To find such a prestigious real estate group, one of the few groups in New Jersey rated Band 1 by Chambers USA, is quite an exciting opportunity for Fox,” Goodman added.

He said the firm hopes to attract more “quality transactional attorneys” to join its Morristown office.

Mark L. Silow, Fox's Firmwide Managing Partner, said the hiring of Klausner, Moore and their team is part of the firm's overall strategy to add accomplished partners in addition to “organic growth."

Klausner has more than 25 years of legal and business experience in the real estate industry. He spent several years acquiring and developing properties in urban areas. Klausner has represented clients in the leasing of more than 15 million square feet of office, industrial and retail space; the purchase and sale of more than $4 billion of office, industrial and retail properties; and the borrowing and lending of more than $2 billion of office, industrial and retail properties.

He is included in a list of The Best Lawyers in America in Real Estate Law this year.

Moore advises both commercial and residential developers and investors, handling acquisition, sale, leasing, management and financing of commercial, retail, mixed-use development and redevelopment projects, as well as industrial and golf course projects.

She has been involved in significant real estate transactions for major companies in the pharmaceutical, electronics and telecommunications industries as well as on behalf of real estate developers and golf courses. She is also on the list of The Best Lawyers in America in Real Estate Law this year.
