OXNARD, CA-Several new soft-goods retailers have signed on as tenants at the Collection at RiverPark here, a 650,000-square-foot, open-air, specialty retail center here. One of the new tenants, fashion powerhouse H&M, will open its 25,000-square-foot flagship store in late 2013.

The Sweden-based H&M is known for its high-quality and price-friendly selection of women's and men's clothing, including the brands COS, Weekday, Monki and Cheap Monday. The chain opened its first US store in 2000 on Fifth Ave. in Manhattan and has since expanded in the US at a tremendous pace, with more than 200 stores across 30 states. GlobeSt.com has learned that the retailer will be located in a new building that has yet to be constructed at the center.

Other tenants who have signed leases at the Collection include UK-based men's and women's clothing retailer Republic of Couture, fashion-accessories chain Charming Charlie, sleep specialist Sleep Number and affordable beauty retailer Ulta. All of the new tenants are well-established and have a significant number of stores throughout the country.

According to Peter Houck, general manager at the Collection, “I think people who have been following our growth over the past few months were excited about the restaurant additions, but wondering a bit about the rest of the experience. With the addition of these five tenants and more on the way, the Collection is beginning to take shape.”

Two other anchors, REI and Whole Foods, will open this month and in June, respectively. Other tenants that have already opened at the Collection include Kabuki Japanese Restaurant, Five Guys Burgers and Fries, Panera Bread, Menchie's Frozen Yogurt, Color Me Mine and Massage Envy Spa. Announced for later in 2013 are Starbucks, Gen Korean BBQ and Yakitori Bar, Famous Dave's, Gandolfo's NY Deli, Yard House, Toby Keith's I Love This Bar & Grill and Settebello's Pizzeria Napoletana.

As GlobeSt.com reported in December 2012, mixed-use development the Sunset, one of the largest developments along Hollywood's Sunset Strip, recently gained H&M as a tenant.Other tenants include media firms 19 Entertainment and Talpa Media Group, Apple and Equinox.
