DENVER—As much as 30,000 square feet of classroom and library space might soon be in the works for the University of the Rockies Denver Instructional Site.

The university said that the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Schools and Colleges approved the opening of a facility to be called the Denver Instructional Site at 1201 6th Street, Suite 200.

Colorado Springs-based University of the Rockies is a unit of Bridgepoint Education Inc., of San Diego, a for-profit college operator.

The site will also include student study areas and coaching classrooms equipped with video monitoring and two-way mirrors for instructional purposes, the school said.
