IRVINE, CA-HFF's senior managing director Bill Stadler has completed his transition from the firm's Dallas location to its Orange County office here. Stadler will concentrate on developing and growing HFF's West Coast hotel and resort investment-sales platform.

A 32-year veteran of the hospitality industry with in-depth experience in all facets of hotel operations ownership, franchising and development, Stadler has been involved in more than $6 billion in transactions.

“Having a combined history of ownership, operations and numerous advisory engagements with West Coast hotels and resorts provides a unique and highly qualified background, which will bolster the depth and capacity of HFF's California lodging group,” said Stadler in a prepared statement. “I also look forward to leveraging HFF's strong debt platform, which will provide a highly valuable resource for hotel owners.”

During the past few years, HFF has closed numerous high-profile hotel transactions on the West Coast including investment sales for properties such as the Golden Door Spa, Ritz-Carlton Lake Tahoe, Huntington Hotel in San Franciscoand La Playa Hotel in Carmel-by-the-Sea, as well as financings of properties such as the Ace Hotel in Downtown Los Angeles, Springhill Suites Oceanside, Sheraton LAX and Hilton Suites Anaheim.

As GlobeSt.com previously reported, in December 2012 HFF worked on behalf of Broadreach Capital Partners to secure a three-year-floating-rate, $78-million refinancing loan through AIG Asset Management Group for the Sunset, a 177,949-square-foot, mixed-use development here. The loan, which provides for two additional one-year extension options, was used to refinance existing debt and will also be serviced by HFF.
