PORTLAND, OR—As part of its on-going effort to enhance the firm's Capital Markets services in the Northwest, Jones Lang LaSalle has hired Joe Nydahl as a Vice President specializing in the multifamily sector in Portland. Nydahl will work under the direction of David Young, Managing Director and leader of the firm's West Coast Multifamily practice, to expand the firm's expertise throughout Portland and the Northwest region.
“Joe is well respected within the industry and will be a strong addition to our growing and robust multifamily team,” said Young. “The Northwest multifamily market outpaced the nation in 2012. We expect transaction velocity to maintain this strength for many years to come and are confident that Jones Lang LaSalle will be a leader in this sector as it continues to recover.”
“Over the past several years, we've grown the Portland office into a sizeable and comprehensive leader that's dedicated to serving all the needs of our growing client base and worked diligently to attract the highest caliber professionals to our team,” said Elizabeth Hearle, Northwest Market Director, Jones Lang LaSalle. “Joe has significant market knowledge and a strong skill base that will be an asset as we continue to enhance our leading-edge services in the region.”
Nydahl comes to Jones Lang LaSalle from Gerding Edlen Development, where he worked in multiple phases of real estate development, including repositioning, due diligence, design development, construction management and project closeout for the past eight years. Most recently, he focused on the development and redevelopment of institutional-grade apartment buildings along the West Coast and across the Northwest. Nydahl is LEED AP certified from the U.S. Green Building Council and a licensed Oregon State Real Estate Broker.
