NEWPORT BEACH, CA-GlobeSt.com has learned exclusively that commercial real estate management and leasing firm RiverRock Real Estate Group has promoted Steve Core to president. In his new role, Core will oversee the firm's 80-member team and all business lines including property/asset management, construction management/engineering and technical services, receiverships, property accounting, financial management and due diligence.
Prior to his promotion, Core served as chief operating officer for the firm, where he was instrumental in growing the company's property-management, construction-management and leasing business. Previously, he was director of property management at CBRE, where he was responsible for overseeing the property-management operations of a 7-million-square-foot office, industrial and retail portfolio in the Orange County and San Diego regions.
According to John Combs, founder and principal of RiverRock, “Steve is a proven leader at RiverRock, having played a significant role in the firm's growth during the past eight years. [He] has proven skills and experience to lead our company in continued growth portfolio management for multi-market clients.”
As GlobeSt.com reported exclusively in January, C&C RiverRock Newmark, a joint venture between RiverRock Real Estate Group and Cornish and Carey Commercial Real Estate, has named 27-year industry veteran Anne R. Hinz as EVP. In this role, Hinz will oversee the firm's property management operations in Northern California which encompasses an eight-million-square-foot portfolio.
