SANTA CLARA, CA—GlobalFoundries, a semiconductor fabricator based in Milpitas, has leased a 165,000-square-foot building under construction in Santa Clara.

GlobalFoundries has signed a lease in recent weeks with Irvine Co. for the building located at the developer's Santa Clara Gateway campus, according to a report in the Silicon Valley Business Journal. The company, which also has offices in nearby Sunnyvale, plans to move after construction is complete later this year. The complex site is located at Great America Parkway and Highway 237.
