TRENTON, NJ-Legislative bills to remake the state's business incentives programs likely will not see action until May, after budget hearings are finished, according to key legislators quoted by njbiz.com.
There is still some work to be done on the legislation, said Assemblyman Albert Coutinho and Sen. Raymond Lesniak, although the lawmakers said they are convinced the bills have broad support.
The president of the commercial real estate advocacy NAIOP, Michael McGuinness. said that the delay doesn't make him anxious. The organization plans to maintain a "laser-like focus" on the legislation, which it staunchly supports, however, he said.
