ROLLINGWOOD, TX—Trader Joe's has offered some details on its first Central Texas location, expected to open this year in Rollingwood.

The California-born specialty grocer told the Austin American-Statesman the store should open this fall, and hiring is set to begin in late summer. The company has released renderings of the store's exterior.

Public records show applications have been submitted for building permits from the city of Rollingwood and for permits from the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission, the Statesman reports.

Those documents indicate the grocer could spend as much as $450,000 on renovations.

A second Trader Joe's store is still expected to open in 2014 as part of the Seaholm development in downtown Austin, company spokeswoman Alison Mochizuki said.
