UPPER SADDLE RIVER, NJ-Cushman & Wakefield has arranged the Diamond Chemical Company's acquisition of 40,000 square feet of industrial space it required to expand its business. Diamond purchased a Class A warehouse at 29 Park Way here from Campmor Inc
The chemical company maintains a 150,000-square-foot headquarters, lab and manufacturing facility in East Rutherford where Cushman & Wakefield is also based.
C&W's team of Stephen Elman and Jeffrey Prezant represented Diamond.
“Rather than leasing a facility for its expansion, Diamond Chemical wanted to take advantage of the current low interest rates and acquire a facility,” said Elman. “Although the market is tight for purchase opportunities, we were able to locate a free-standing facility for sale that featured the 22-foot clear ceiling height Diamond required, and then facilitate the acquisition.”
“Diamond Chemical required extra storage space, and we are pleased to have been able to assist them in meeting that requirement as well,” said Prezant.
Diamond Chemical's headquarters, lab and plant are located near MetLife Stadium. The company is a national manufacturer of soaps and detergents, housekeeping, sanitizing and other industrial products for the commercial laundry, food-service, janitorial, sanitary maintenance and healthcare industries.
