CHICAGO, IL- Fitzgerald Earles Architects and Associates has started pre-construction activities, including design and construction documentation, on a 10,643-square-foot space just southeast of Chicago in Schererville, Indiana for Help at Home, a home care agency. The agency will move from another location and expand by 1,500-square-feet.
The office space, at 833 W. Lincoln Highway in The Crossings of Schererville, an 116,520-square-foot building at the corner of Lincoln Highway and Indianapolis Blvd., will get a gut renovation and interior build out. Lagestee-Mulder Construction will oversee all phases of construction.
FEAA, a Chicago firm with an office in Schererville, will design both enclosed offices and open office spaces for employees, a new employee training room and a break room. The corridor, elevator lobby and restrooms will also get an upgrade.
Help at Home has already expanded in their present location several times, which resulted in an inefficient office layout. They will bring approximately 50 employees to the new location and provide services to about 500 employees who work out in the field providing home health services to the elderly and disabled.
Those services allow clients an alternative to living in a nursing home or long-term care facility. The company has more than 20 locations in Indiana alone and thousands of clients in several states. FEAA and Lagestee-Mulder say they will complete the reconstruction by July.
