Prologis Starts 770,000 SF Facility in Ohio

ETNA, OH- Prologis, Inc. has just signed a new build-to-suit agreement with SpeedFC, Inc., an e-commerce firm, for a 770,000-square-foot distribution facility in Etna, Ohio. They will build the structure in their Prologis Park 70 Etna industrial park near Interstate 70 and Port Columbus International Airport.

The deal will help continue a robust expansion of big-box distribution centers that has gone on across the country, but especially in the Midwest. Consumers have been putting pressure on retailers to deliver products quicker, which pushes e-commerce firms like SpeedFC to move into larger and more efficient spaces. According to a recent report by Colliers International, the Columbus industrial market has recorded seven consecutive quarters of strong positive absorption.
